Saffron Academy Trust - Partnership Lead, Harlow

Salary L11-12 (3 days a week or equivalent)

Pro rata L11 £34,077.60

From September 2023 – fixed term one year contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Saffron Academy Trust as a Partnership Lead, based in Harlow, working with the Harlow Education Consortium (HEC) & Harlow Education Trust (HET).

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed person with a passion for professional development who wants to make a difference to the lives and outcomes of pupils. This is a fixed term, three day a week post up to 31st August 2024. For the right candidate, flexible working days could be negotiated. A secondment would also be considered.

The Partnership Lead will work closely with HEC/HET in promoting and representing the partnership’s work with a wide range of local and national bodies and organisations, such as Essex County Council, local employers and Harlow Futures. The Partnership Lead will also be key in leading on current initiatives (e.g. the Disadvantaged Strategy and Ogden Trust Partnership) and developing new ones including seeking grant funding.

The Partnership Lead will also support, signpost and broker the professional development of school staff. As part of this role, the postholder will oversee the daily management of the Harlow Study Centre as a training & commercial hire venue.

HEC/HET is a long-established partnership of 35 primary and secondary Harlow schools. The partnership’s ethos is that pupil outcomes are increased when schools work collaboratively for the communities they serve. Schools’ membership is on a subscription basis and HEC/HET itself is wholly owned and controlled by its school members.

The successful candidate will already have experience of working as part of a senior leadership team and may already have experience of school partnership working.

We would like the postholder to start in September 2023 at the latest.

To apply for the position, please complete an application form (downloadable from the bottom of this page) and provide an accompanying letter (no more than 2 sides of A4) describing how your skills and experience have prepared you for the role and also sharing your ideas and how you will lead and develop it.

The closing date for applications is

9 a.m. Thursday 27th April 2023

Interviews will take place in the week beginning Monday 8th May
